Lost & Found in the Archives

Please join us on Wednesday, January 18th and Thursday, January 19th as the UF Graduate Film Studies Group presents two on-campus events focused on films lost and found in the archives, and the cultural and interdisciplinary questions raised by practices of archiving here at UF and beyond.

Wednesday 1/18, 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm
Smathers Library East, Room 100

Archive Talk by Dr. Dan Streible, professor of Cinema Studies at NYU, and film screening by archivist Skip Elsheimer (A/V Geeks)

Thursday 1/19, 11:00 am – 12:30 pm
Library West, Scott Nygren Scholars Studio

Interdisciplinary Roundtable with Dr. Leah Rosenberg (UF professor of English), Jim Liversidge (curator of Popular Culture Collections in the Department of Special and Area Studies Collections at UF), Lauren DeFilippo (filmmaker and UF instructor), and Deborah Hendrix (Digital Humanities Coordinator for the Samuel Proctor Oral History Program at UF).

Both events are free and open to the public.
